PA3i-NCR Chapter

PA3i-NCR: How It All Began

It all began in April 2009.

Joined by their common experience as students in Australia, inspired by their newly-acquired knowledge, and fuelled by their desire to give back to their country, NCR-based graduates of Australian training and educational institutions gathered together to explore the idea of creating an NCR Chapter of the PA3i.

First in the agenda was the election of interim officers who were tasked to do all that was necessary for the creation of the chapter. Next was the drafting of the mission-vision statement and of the by-laws. For the purpose of drafting the by-laws, the Interim Board constituted a technical working group, which, incidentally, was composed of court attorneys of the Supreme Court. At the same time, the Interim Board prepared for the 1st General Assembly.

On May 25, 2009, at the said General Assembly, the founding members unanimously approved the By-Laws of the PA3i-NCR. Shortly thereafter, the PA3i National Board issued a resolution recognizing the PA3i-NCR as a bona fide chapter of the Association. Since then, the Chapter lost no time to further its mission, i.e., “to connect and engage all alumni to form a strong organization and network that significantly contributes to the professional development of its members, the enhancement of Philippine-Australia relations, and the improvement of the lives of the Filipinos.” [Article 1, Section 2, By-Laws of the PA3i-NCR]
